Bookkeeping Services in Malaysia
Your books closed every month, reconciled to the bank, and handed to you as management accounts you can actually use — for a fixed monthly fee agreed upfront.
What's included every month
Bookkeeping is only useful if it's current. Most of the businesses that come to us are between three and nine months behind, which means every decision that year was made blind. The monthly cycle is designed to keep the records current.
- Sales and purchase posting — invoices, bills, cash sales and petty cash entered against the correct chart of accounts.
- Bank and credit card reconciliation — every account reconciled to statement, with unexplained items queried back to you rather than guessed at.
- Debtor and creditor ageing — so you know who owes you money before it becomes a bad debt.
- Management P&L and balance sheet — with a short written note on what moved and why.
- SST tracking — rolling 12-month taxable turnover monitored against the registration threshold.
- Year-end audit file — schedules and supporting documents prepared for your auditor, included at no extra charge.
Software we work in
We work day to day in AutoCount and SQL Accounting — the two systems most Malaysian SMEs already run — and we also work in Xero and QuickBooks Online for businesses that want cloud access. Where a business has outgrown spreadsheets, migration and the setting up of a proper chart of accounts form part of onboarding rather than a separate engagement.
You keep ownership of your data file. If you ever leave, you take the full licence and history with you — we don't hold books hostage.
How we price it
Hourly billing punishes you for having a messy month and makes it impossible to budget. We quote a fixed monthly fee instead, based on three things: how many transactions you run, how many bank accounts need reconciling, and whether you're SST registered.
To quote accurately we ask for one sample month of documents. That review is free. The fee we quote from it is the fee you pay, and it's fixed for 12 months.
Catch-up work for prior years is quoted separately as a one-off, so you're not paying for old backlogs inside a monthly retainer.
Switching from your current bookkeeper
This is the part most owners put off, and it's genuinely the easiest part. We write to your existing accountant for the ledgers, trial balance and statutory files, reconcile the closing position against what's actually in the bank, and give you a short note on anything that doesn't tie up. You sign one authorisation letter; we do the chasing.
Who this suits
Sdn Bhd companies and registered businesses, typically with one to fifty staff — based anywhere from Johor to the Klang Valley. If you're a group with multiple entities, we can consolidate and run intercompany reconciliations too.
Bookkeeping sits naturally alongside tax and payroll. Each is engaged and charged separately, but taking them from one firm gives you a single point of contact and avoids the gap where two providers each assume the other has dealt with something.

How far behind can my books be before it's a problem?
Do I need to send physical documents to your office?
Will you also do my company's tax filing?
